Bankouale Monts Goda Tour

The villages of Bankoualé and the village of Ardo are located in the Goda mountains. You get there by a short and superb track, the final part of which is in the wadi. In Ardo you can meet the children of the school and their teachers. You can buy one of the handicrafts made by the inhabitants of the village, who have created a cooperative thanks to which part of the sale of handicrafts goes to all the inhabitants. Opposite the village of bankoualé, is the very pleasant camp of Bankoualé with basic but sufficient comfort. This camp laid out in terraces overlooks the wadi. The atmosphere of this place is enchanting: you fall asleep and wake up with the echoes of the sounds of the surrounding villages and animals.

The place is suitable for short or long hikes. You will admire the bankoualé gardens protected from animals by thorny bushes and floods of the wadi by riprap.

These gardens are irrigated by an upstream spring and a system of ditches; there are banana trees, mangoes, melons, watermelons, papayas, green beans, lemon trees, tomatoes, and peppers. There is an endemic plant species here, unfortunately endangered: the Bankoualé palm.
