DAY 1: Visit to the DECAN Animal Shelter

Reception at Djibouti airport

Transfer to the Kempinski Palace which is the most prestigious establishment in the country; it has a superb swimming pool and several restaurants

Lunch of your choice in one of the Kempinski restaurants or at the Mer Rouge restaurant

Afternoon: visit of the DECAN animal shelter

Evening meal at Moon Light restaurant Route de Venise

Overnight at Kempinski Palace

DAY 2: White Sands Beach via Lake Assal

Departure for the Hotel des Sables Blancs after Tadjourah (190 km)

The hotel is located on the most beautiful sandy beach in the country

Morning: On the way stop at Dimbya Canyon and Borrel Stele

Visit Lake Assal (1), the lava field, the rift fault

Lunch: Picnic at Goubet

Arrival at Les Sables Blancs at the end of the afternoon

Evening meal and night in Les Sables Blancs

(1) Possibility of swimming if the spray is not too heavy – plastic sandals necessary – Jerrycan of fresh water on board to rinse off

DAY 3: Snorkeling at Sables Blancs in Tadjourah Bay

Morning: snorkel fins on the splendid drop-off, where underwater fauna and flora are absolutely beautiful

Lunch at Les Sables Blancs

Afternoon: Departure for the Day camp; on the way we will meet a family of nomads settled in Bolli.

Then we will take the track starting from Randa which will bring us to the Day camp at the end of the afternoon.

This very well-equipped camp culminates at an altitude of around 1500 m, warm clothes are a must, even in summer...

Evening meal and night at the Day camp.

DAY 4: Hike in the Goda Mountains

Morning: walking excursion to the summit called “Marabout Abayazid” (4h30 round trip) or a short walk in the forest, in the freshness and green landscapes

Lunch at the Day camp or at the Gulf Hotel in Tadjourah, depending on the morning activity

Afternoon: stop at the village of Dougoum (school, crafts, cheese dairy)

Return trip to Djibouti by road or by ferry from Tadjourah depending on the morning and day activity of the week.

Evening meal at Café de la Gare restaurant in Djibouti and night at Kempinski.

DAY 5: Drive to Neem Farm Lodge in the South

Departure for the Neem farm of AS Eyla on the road to Lake Abbé

Morning: trip from Djibouti to Dikhil on a 120 km asphalt road

Crossing the semi-desert expanses of Petit Bara and Grand Bara, where sand swirls, mirages, and gazelles are observable with luck.

Lunch at the restaurant in Dikhil

40 km track to the Neem farm where permaculture is practiced

(Several hundred neem trees have been planted here)

DAY 6: Departure for Lac Abbé by buggy

Very early in the morning departure by buggy for 40 km of track to watch the sunrise in the middle of the

Lac Abbé Chimneys–

Before returning, visit the boiling water springs, and chimneys and approach the pink flamingos by the lake

After the return trip, lunch at the lodge

Afternoon: idleness or new buggy outing with supplement

DAY 7: Return to Djibouti

After breakfast return to Djibouti

Lunch at the Sunny Hill restaurant in Arta

Afternoon: visit of Djibouti city

Evening meal at the Melting Pot restaurant in Djibouti

Night at the Kempinski

DAY 8: Day at Maskali Island (1)

Lunch in the shade of a faré

Afternoon: snorkeling

Return to Djibouti in the middle of the afternoon

Evening meal at the restaurant in Djibouti (Yemeni fish at Youssouf)

Transfer to the airport at the end of the evening

(1) In the season from November to mid-February), Maskali can be replaced by a whale shark outing in the morning and snorkeling on Arta beach in the afternoon (guaranteed underwater show)

Our agency is insured for the reimbursement of payments made before the start of the stay, in the event of default by the agency.

In addition, we contractually undertake to reimburse any payment in the event of trip cancellation due to a pandemic, with the exception of expenses advanced on your behalf, not reimbursed to the agency.

In the latter case, a credit note of an amount identical to that of our supplier may be sent to you.

Accommodation in a double room at the hotel in Djibouti city, or in the apartment of our local agency according to your choice;
